Recently our good TMNT buddy, Murph, posted on his blog about TMNT Overload. Now we get to sit down and figure out what it was all about.

The TMNT finally get to return back to the present. However, their child selves from the past also make it into the present!

The Mini Turtle Play Sets are actually the Ninja Babies line. Notice that they form a Chuck E. Cheese. The black jumpsuits are their pajamas.

Parents even will love the idea of Baby Zog with Asthma Action. He comes with an inhaler to show that Asthma affects some of us.

Now that we have these ideas, let's bring in other pitches that failed.


"Donatello's Lab"
A short Don had a secret lab hidden the sewer that only his annoying but tall brother, Mi-Key knew about. Splinter is always smoking a pipe, wearing yellow plastic cleaning gloves.

"Saki and the Krang"
Saki and the Krang, They're Saki and the Krang. One is a genius, the other's insane... Two criminals residing in ACME lab as experimental patients try to take over the world every night.
Krang: Are you pondering what I am pondering?
Saki: Gee, I dunno, Krang. If I did marry Ninjara, what would the kids look like?

"Splintie's Turtles"
A private investigation firm run by Splinter Townsend This idea failed horribly due to Laird rejecting that all four turtles were now redone to look more like Venus.

"Kung-Fu Punched by an Angel"
NYC citizens hit crossroads in their lives, but mutants enter the scene, bringing the word of Splinter to help these problems.

"The Rocky Horror Turtle Show" (Thanks to Vaughn for this idea)
The turtles in drag. Enough said.

"Darwin's Sewer Creek"
This series revolves around evolution of mutants in a small town.

"Turtle Wars" aka Teenage Mutant Jedi Turtles
Sensei Vader is a ruthless tyrant. He is eventually revealed to be Leo Swordwalker's biological father. Fugitoid gets a new make over as he is now all gold and named F2K3. Baxter is B2S2. Garbage the Man is an intergalactic crime lord that steals trash and people as slaves.

"Who Wants to be a Mutant?"
This was going to be a game show hosted by Shredder. If you get the question right, you don't get mutated. If you get it wrong, you get mutated. As the questions get harder, the animal you would get mutated into gets worse. Muckman is an obvious victim to this series.

"Peter Laird's Flying Sewer"
A series of TMNT shorts.

"Ninja Turtles: Rewind"
The turtles get sent back into time by accident due to Benjamin Franklin's experiment of flying a kite with a metal turtle attached to it during a lightening storm. The turtles fight villains such as Benedict Arnold.

"Donatello, Medicine Turtle"
This takes places in the underground caves that Notes From The Underground used. Donatello plays a doctor that adopts several orphaned mutants. Eventually weds Quarry.

"Ninjitsu With the Stars"
Various famous and no longer famous celebs team up with the TMNT. Vanilla Ice was casted for the first season.

"The Turtle Life"
A Fox comedic show depicts four young turtles as they struggle to do normal jobs without being noticed as mutants.

"Sewer Park"
A comedy show about four turtle boys who live in the small, backward sewer of New York City.

And finally, "Turtlefeld"
Set predominantly in a sewer block on New York City's Upper West Side, four mutant turtles do daily events. For example, Mikey starts a craze when he starts eating pizza with a fork and knife. The best known episode was to be "The Soup Saki," in which the Shredder denies the turtles their pizza flavored soup. Leonardo's father, Splinter, is played by Jerry Stiller. The local mailman, Leatherhead, is both a friend and enemy. Leonardo constantly has rivalry with him and says, "Leatherhead!" whenever he feels that he is up to something. The Dark Turtles, now Bizarro Turtles hang out at Pizzaface's Pizza Shop. Leonardo has a romantic relationship with Karai at one point but breaks up with her. He insists that she had "Foot hands."
